Whilst young, these guys would have to be the coolest, most relaxed Phasmids i have come across so far. They just cruise around and i swear they have sunglasses on and listen to jazz all day. As a defense (if i blow on them) they do a quick shake as most phasmids do. Or they just freeze.
I feed them eucalyptus leaves, i am not sure of the species, but i imagine any would be alright. Also i feed then Callistemon (bottle brush), only because thats what i have also in my yard. They seem to like the gum leaves better but also enjoy the bottle brush leaves They dislike being misted with water and dont readily drink of the leaves. I do not mist them at all. They get all the water they need from eating leaves.

currently i have 2 middle sized Goliaths with one small 2nd - 3rd stage nymph in the same cage.
One day when i was watching them, a bigger one zeroed in on the small one. And then bite it and started to carry the smaller one around by the leg. I quickly blew on them and they separated . No harm done. 2 days later, the small one is without a leg.
I dont know if it has any relevance to behavior or maybe just bad eye sight on behalf of the bigger Goliath. Interesting just the same
